January 19, 2016 – is a date which will live in infamy, the PlayStation 4 owners were suddenly and deliberately attacked by World of Tanks of the Wargaming company.
The PlayStation 4 owners were at peace with Wargaming, and, at the solicitation of Wargaming, was still in conversation with its headquarters and its CEO looking toward the maintenance of peace at PSN.
Indeed, one hour after Wargaming had commenced shooting in the map Ruinberg, the Warming ambassador to PSN and his colleague delivered to our secretary of state a formal reply to a recent PSN attack. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Scorpion Pass from Kiev makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many weeks or even months ago. During the intervening time, Wargaming has deliberately sought to deceive the PlayStation 4 owners by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Pacific Islands has caused severe damage to the PlayStation 4’s military forces. I regret to tell you that very many tanks have been lost. In addition, PlayStation 4’s have been reported shot between Pearl River and Lakeville.
Yesterday the tanks also launched as the attack against Ruinberg.
Last night tanks attacked Scorpion Pass.
Last night tanks attacked the Pacific Islands.
Last night tanks attacked Fisherman’s Bay.
And this morning the tanks attacked Artic Regions.
World of Tanks has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the PSN. The facts of yesterday and today speak for themselves. The people of the PlayStation 4 have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our network.
As a PlayStation 4 owner I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense. But always will our whole community remember the character of the onslaught against us…
Yes, you can now play World of Tanks (finally) on the PlayStation 4, and what a fun we had with this game. Next to the fact that some gamers will tell you it’s about the same as the Xbox One or the PC version, it’s still an AAA game which cost absolutely nothing! Indeed, it’s completely free. Let’s go Wargaming, let’s go!
So, is World of Tanks PlayStation 4 the game that will make you want to go out there and fight? If you look at the game aspects, then we are convinced that a lot of people will spend more time playing World of Tanks than they ever thought. The game is well balanced and there are enough tanks for everybody.
But next to all these tanks, it’s also about the looks and the sounds. And Wargaming is specialized in these aspects when it comes to their games, World of Tanks PlayStation 4 Edition is just an ear- and eyegasm. Graphics wise it looks great, the sounds make you think that you are on the battlefield itself, so let’s turn the volume up to 11 and get into one of the 350 tanks!
And the best part is yet to come: it’s a free-to-play AAA game. In other words, you don’t have to pay the €70,-/$ 60,-/£ 40,- and you get just the same amount of fun, if not, even more fun. The only thing you need a good internet connection. And compared to the Xbox One or Xbox 360 version you need Xbox Live Gold to play the game, with this version, you don’t need PlayStation Plus to play.
And of course, the Xbox One version was there, even before we started to think about the PlayStation 4 version. But was it worth the wait? Of course, this has everything to do with what you expect from the game, but to be honest, if you like games which are about warfare, then World of Tanks has more than enough for you to offer.
In the past we saw the game coming to the Microsoft consoles, starting with the Xbox 360 release in February 2014 and the Xbox One release in July 2015, now it was finally coming to the PlayStation 4. Of course, the Xbox community told us that we missed out on this awesome free to play AAA game, but now we can finally catch up them and make them feel less special.
Also, when I look at this version the thing that I did notice right away is the fact that the weather is constantly changing. You might play the same map twice in a row (even thought it might never happen), but this doesn’t mean it’s the same kind of weather, you can play this map now in the rain, or when it’s snowing. And if the weather condition is also the same, then you still have the day and night cycle.
Next to the new weather system we can also enjoy the many, almost monthly, updates that are coming to the PlayStation 4. These updates have to do with a lot of things, sometimes it might just be a little bug fix, but most of the times it will have something to do with new content. For instance, we know that there will be more than 350 different tanks in the game, and now, at the moment of release, we have about 140 tanks. Which means there will be a lot more tanks joining the battle soon. This has mostly to do with the new countries that will be added in the next updates. Now you can go all out with the German, the Russian and the American tanks, the countries that will be added will be France, the UK, Japan and the Chinese with their tanks. And who knows, in the future, Wargaming might add some more countries and tanks.
And when you talk about World of Tanks, then you know there will be a lot of impacts and, of course, explosions. And these explosions, well, what can I say about it: I just love it. You can almost blow up everything you see on the map. So whether you want to shoot at some enemy tanks (Love the way they explode :)), run over a some car that are parked in the street or just want to drive into a house, it is all possible, and all of these elements on the map interact in a different way in the game. That’s what I call a great eye for detail.
Once you start playing you just want to get a tank from a higher tier. And before I knew it I wanted a tank from at least tier 8 or higher. It’s time to play with the big boys! And there are different ways to get to those higher tiers. Of course, you can do it old school: grinding, grinding and some more grinding. But this takes a lot of time and it might spoil your fun, but on the other hand, this is the best way to get to know your tanks.
If you want to get there faster, then there is the option to get a premium account. With a premium account you get some gold and extra XP for every game you play, and next to that you get extra bonus XP (you can spend the Bonus XP any way you want, on any tank you want) for every match you play, the best way to upgrade your current tanks. The bonus XP always comes in handy when you want to switch from a German Light Tank to a Japanese Medium Tank.
A premium account is the best way to rank faster and to get some gold. The gold you get can also be spent on different items. You can buy extra slots in your garage, you can make you crew develop their skills even faster, this means you might get a better engine a lot quicker, but also the range of your cannon can be upgraded. These upgrades are all up to you.
Of course, you can also spend your gold on a premium tank, which is already fully upgraded when you buy them. Buying a premium tank mean you can go from tier 3 to tier 7 in a few seconds. But remember that the premium tanks doesn’t mean your next tank will be a tier 8 tank. The premium tanks have nothing to do with the progress of your other tanks. Also, and you might have seen this in some games, premium tanks are sometimes the first to get killed during a match. Some gamers you do that for sports. 😉
And like I said before, World of Tanks is a free-to-play game. And when you talk about free-to-play most people think about Angry Birds or Candy Crush. But with a comparison like this, I think World Of Tanks deserves a genre of its own. This is just not a game that you can compare with the most free-to-play games, this is an AAA-game after all. I would rather call it a Free 2 Pl-AAA-Y game. Thank you, Wargaming, for bringing World of Tanks to the PlayStation 4.
